[updated Sept 2022]
Many of us would commute to work via the train or bus and would take the time to listen to radios or podcast when going to work. For me my morning rush to work involves listening to my boy’s music but during my working hours I travel a lot by driving from one location to another and listening to music really made me less sleepy. When I found podcast, I thought it was a very good idea to listen to it while I was traveling from one location to another not only was I not sleeping I was feeling more and more motivated. I started following different podcasts and listening to them.
Podcasts are not listed in any order, but here is my list of podcasts that I often like to listen to broken down into categories: (The links I have for the podcast are from Spotify but you can find them on iTunes or soundcloud as well)
- Motivation
- The Project Life Mastery Podcast by Stefan James: almost hitting 950 episodes, Stefan goes through the best strategies to mastering and living life fully. Whether listening to the most current episode, or going back to the very beginning and listening to him talk, it has been a great inspiration and motivation for me.
- The 5AM Miracle by Jeff Sanders: if you need to wake up on a Monday Morning refreshed, they have a new episode every Monday morning but you of course can listen to it any time of the day for a boost.
- The Mindset Mentor by Rob Dial and Kast Media: who does not need mindset coaching? I think all of us need a daily dose of mindset coaching to direct us in the correct direction and focus.
- On Purpose with Jay Shetty. If I were to choose some more to guide me in meditation, it has to be Jay because of his tone and his voice. Every Monday and Friday there would be a new episode where he interviews people in the world.
- The School of Greatness by Lewis Howes: who interviews leaders and successful people and ask them how to inspire the everyday US to unlock our greatness and live our best life. What is there not to love about that?

- Writing / Blogging:
- Self-Made Writers Podcast by Kim Anderson: my mentor in the blogging world, her podcast was one of those that made me wanted to start blogging and not to stress too much about what I have to say but just put content out there and slowly it would all flow. Now she not only does the podcast for bloggers but also for writers.
- Do you Even Blog by Pete McPherson: As I just started blogging not long ago, I really need a few podcast to help me with my blogging and I enjoy listening to Pete and his podcast. - The Foundr Podcast with Nathan Chan: The Foundr Magazine and courses were one of the first few courses that I took when I started my entrepreneur side hustle journey and when Nathan had the podcast, I just naturally followed along and the podcast has given me so much inspiration and motivation to keep working and not give up.
- Kids and Parenting:
- The Montessori Notebook Podcast by Simone Davies: I am pretty into Montessori stuff for my kiddo so I followed this podcast to understand a little more and to try to implement it.
- Baby-led Weaning by Katie Ferraro: personally do not need baby led weaning tips but I would think this podcast would be helpful for those struggling with BLW. I personally did a combination of BLW and traditional as my parents were very cautious about the BLW part, but I am glad my boy chose the BLW as he loves food a lot more.
- Parenting Beyond Discipline by Erin Royer: is a great podcast if you are struggling with trying not to discipline your child and being a good and calm parent. She talks about topics like a child’s self esteem, development and health and modern parenting issues.
Bonus: If you are into MLM you would love to have these on your podcast playlists:
- MLM / Network Marketing:
- Your Virtual Upline Podcast by Bob Heilig: if you need a more daily dose of upline fever, you can listen in as he teaches you to build a network marketing business
- The Modern Network Marketer by Anna Gordon: by leveraging on sales funnels, she grow her business without being salesy or spammy and that was what I wanted to learn as well.
If you asked me if I have the time to listen to all of them, of cos not! I try to pick one a day on what I wanted to listen to. Say if I don’t feel motivated on a day I would pick one from my list and listen to it all day, then another day I would pick another one podcast depending on my mood that day.
Drop me a message and tell me what you think of the list and if I should add any of the podcast that you listen to.
